Engine oil and filter changeEngine oil is the fluid that lubricates, cleans and cools the internal moving parts of the engine. Oil breaks down from normal wear, i.e. dirt, contaminates, moisture, engine heat and loses its ability to lubricate and clean. Therefore, engine oil should be replaced, as per the manufacturer's maintenance recommendation, to help ensure that the engine performs as designed. An engine oil filter is a vehicle component that is used to remove impurities and undesired components from the oil that flows through an internal-combustion engine. The oil is necessary to lubricate the engine. Replacing the engine oil filter, as per the manufacturer's maintenance recommendation, can help to properly maintain the engine’s lubrication system. Replace brake fluidBrake fluid is a type of hydraulic fluid used in hydraulic brake applications in automobiles and light trucks. The fluid is used to transmit pressure from the brake pedal to the pistons at eacyh wheel, producing braking action. Brake fluid is very hydroscopic. It is like a sponge for absorbing water and moisture. Over time, brake fluid becomes contaminated. The water/moisture it absorbs will rust out the inside of brake lines and other brake parts. Brake fluid should be flushed/replaced on a regular basis, as per the manufacturer's maintenance recommendation, to help keep the brake system is good working condition. Replace fuel filterThe fuel filter is mounted in the fuel line and screens out dirt, rust particles and contaminates from the fuel before it reaches the engine. A dirty fuel filter can cause hard starting/no start conditions and lack of engine performance.
